Terms of Use

Last updated: 16 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and 12420813 Canada Inc., a Canadian corporation operating as Sports Coaching AI ("we", "us"). They cover the Family Window apps for iPhone and Android and this website (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What Family Window is

Family Window lets members of a family make video calls to each other, with live captions on the screen. It is a communication aid, not a medical device or a hearing aid, and it doesn't diagnose or treat any condition.

2. Captions can be wrong

Captions come from the phone's speech recogniser and can miss or change words. Don't rely on Family Window or its captions in an emergency, or for medical, legal or financial decisions. Family Window can't call emergency services; use your phone's normal dialler for that.

3. Your account and your family

4. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to harass, threaten or record anyone without their consent; to break the law; to send malware or spam; or to interfere with, probe or overload the Service. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

5. Availability

Calls depend on the internet, your phone's settings and services run by Apple, Google and our providers. We work to keep Family Window reliable, but we can't promise that every call will connect or ring, or that the Service will always be available.

6. Price

Family Window is currently free. If we introduce paid features, we'll tell you the price before you're charged, and you'll buy them through the App Store or Google Play under their terms.

7. Our app

We own the Family Window apps, name and design. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the apps under these terms and the App Store or Google Play terms. Don't copy, modify or reverse-engineer them except where the law allows.

8. Ending your use

You can stop at any time and delete your account in the app or on our deletion page. We may end or suspend the Service, or your access, with reasonable notice where we can, or immediately if you break these terms.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by missed calls or caption errors. Our total liability to you is limited to CAD $100. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that can't be limited.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and of the province where 12420813 Canada Inc. has its registered office. Its courts have jurisdiction, unless the consumer laws where you live give you the right to bring a claim in your local courts. Please contact us first, since most problems can be solved quickly that way.
